House Of Quinn
Richard Quinn x Veevers Carter
For two consecutive years, we have had the privilege of embarking on a floral journey that has transcended the boundaries of traditional runway shows. It's the Richard Quinn runway at London Fashion Week were the fusion of high fashion and floral artistry comes together.
For the first year we worked with Richard Quinn and Derek Hardie Martin to produce the floral frontage for the fantastical fashion House of Quinn set in the impressive art-deco inspired Lawrence Hall, St James in central London. We designed, planned and developed ideas from our respective South East London studios combining fashion and florals with Londoncentric undertones and unexpected architecture.
We were heavily influenced by Richard’s choice of carpet and eighties runway references. We took this blue and mauve colour scheme and added in cream and hot pink which made the pastel colours pop. The pink was also a subtle nod to the carpet colour from Dare to Dream.
We used indigo delphinium, baby blue, lavender and mauve hydrangea, cream scented roses, hot pink bougainvillea with retro inspired foliage’s such as tumbling asparagus fern and salal. As a finishing touch we added puffs of limionium and million star gysophila to bring this throwback floral look to fashion week 2020.
Year two we transformed a functioning Leisure centre on Bethnal Greens Old Ford Road into a high-end Fashion runway. Backed by London’s Philharmonic Orchestra and Bach Choir we produced a fantastical dreamscape of blossoms, foliages and gold furnishings completed with the models who were set to debut Quinn’s first 1920’s bridal collection.
Erin O’Connor and Jade Parfitt modelled with Billy Porter and Anna Dello Russa in attendance.
